Trump-Kim summit ending early

BY REBECCA KHEEL

The schedule for President Trump and Kim Jong Un’s second day of meetings in Hanoi, Vietnam was abruptly changed Thursday.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters in Vietnam that talks would wrap up earlier than expected, with Trump returning to his hotel in the next 30 to 45 minutes.

Trump and Kim were originally supposed to hold a working lunch that appears to have been canceled.

The two leaders were also scheduled to participate in ceremony to sign a joint agreement. Sanders declined to say whether that ceremony would still happen, but it appears unlikely.

Overnight in Hanoi, President Trump:
- Ended summit early without agmt
- Appeared to walk back demand for full denuclearization
- Questioned US intel assessment NK still expanding nuclear program
- Accepted Kim’s denial of involvement in Otto Warmbier death

And still claim something he did was good, when it clearly wasn't. He did this for a PR stunt, while he's probably doing something really dangerous behind Kim's back to undermine him , or replace him. trump's motives and actions are always to be questioned, and often he projects the opposite of what he's really trying to do. I'd be careful if I were Kim, his intentions are never what they seem like. He'll maybe soon start saying more excuses for this failure , again from his own actions. he went and was lost again, and was taken advantage of by Kim, again. The question is was this from Kim alone, or was it with Putin's help?

Would love to know how many millions of dollars were wasted on this.

You’re talking round trip AF1 costs to Vietnam, hundreds of security personnel, hotel rooms, etc, you’re probably looking around 25-50 million dollars or so. All to accomplish absolutely nothing.

And will submit that impeachment hearings or an indictment would similarly derail his ability to be presidential. He'll use this failure to leverage protection against future failures.

Let's skewer him mercilessly with the truth and let the chips fall where they may. A compromised President is not a President at all.

I was wondering how long it was going to take before he caught on. Each new photo op, tRump was getting lower and lower to the ground.

There was no deal. And clearly, Donny Dollhands is no deal maker. He just doesn’t have the substance or the intellect. He certainly doesn’t have a very smart team either. This was doomed before it even started.
