1. He's got it wrong, they do believe in something: ethnonationalism

And he's also wrong that this is an unrecognizable take over of the conservative movement. It began when they started to use racist and misogynistic dog whistles to bolster their message. At first, it was just a means to gain power. But as they continued to use them, the ethnonationalism grew in power until it took over conservatism.

I'm glad Tyler doesn't agree with what his party has become, but until he looks in the mirror, he won't understand what it is now.
