Give me a break... 1st thing I thought of is Ellis was told "in trump code" that he'll be considered for next Supreme Court Justice.

His recent history is to oppose mandatory sentences, someone posted that he helped a person that was likely Black get a sentence short of the 82 year minimum for the crimes that he was convicted of.

It is possible that the Judge sentenced Manafort in a way that would not cause Trump to issue a pardon, knowing that possibility existed. I would not be surprised if the DC Judge don't use the same reasoning, sentence Manafort long enough to make a pardon by Trump a foolish act.

If you know anything about narcissists, you know that they don't like losers. This ruling makes it more likely that Trump will pardon Manafort. JMHO.
