Katie Hill (CA-25) is the real star of the 2018 class

Katie Hill: can 'America's most millennial candidate' win?
The grassroots Hill has never held office, but her youth-oriented campaign typifies a new kind of poster child for the Democrats

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/oct/22/millennial-candidate-midterms-katie-hill-25th-district

She won against a GOP incumbent - unlike some of her cohorts who had easy wins.

the Democratic party to achieve The BlueWave in 2018.

We wouldn't have a Democratic Victory in the House now without all kinds of Dems across the Country.

But, you have to label her a "centrist".. divisive much?

Thankfully most of the 40 new members of Congress that we elected in November are quietly going about doing the work that they were elected to do.

Of course to some a centrist is anyone even slightly to the right of Bernie or AOC , so it’s essentially been made meaningless by those who have the most contempt for centrists. By the way, we need centrist voters to win elections. That’s a harsh reality for you, I know.

The freshmen favorites on DU were mainly from safe Democratic districts.

We only won the house because we won centrist districts with centrist candidates. It was our path to victory in 18. And our best path in 2020.

America by belief is a center left nation.

We need all of the variations to win. And not just to win, but because it’s good for our party and for our country to include all reasonable Democratic ideas in our debates, in order to move forward and benefit the country.

It was retail politics at its BEST.

I'm in Miami and never heard from Gillum or Nelson by phone or email or door to door or anything. That's how sad our coordination and effort is in Florida.

But somehow Katie Hill got hold of my particulars and put me on the email list. I heard from her every day and often more than once per day. Consequently I was familiar with her long before she ever got elected and have enjoyed watching her during questioning.

Star indeed
