Offutt AFB Nebraska.

I don't know about anyone else, but I thought the first flooded military base would be on a coast. Who would have guessed that climate change would first flood an inland base?

2. True, I was think more about rising ocean levels.

I'm in Montana so I admittedly forget or lose track of the the horrible hurricanes. My ex-husband left New Orleans ahead of Katrina and could not go back. We didn't know what happened to him for two weeks.

3. Wow!

Glad they found him. And yes we lose track of the aftermaths of these horrific hurricanes.
Rising water levels will destroy those in Virginia and other parts of the coast. Tyndall Air Force Base
was hit by both the water and the wind. It was horrific

4. Not the first or last time

Reminds me when Fort Lyon in Colorado was flooded back in 1867 which forced it's abandonment
