Huge disappointment.

(12,618 posts)There are numerous threads to the investigation still ongoing.
In other words, chill the fuck out!

(46,016 posts)It doesn't matter what's in the report. Trump will declare victory, and his idiot hordes will believe him. Gloating will ensue.
Downtown Hound
(12,618 posts)That will make their eventual fall more hilarious.

(46,016 posts)We'll just have to wait for that. But we'd have to wait, anyway.
If it does turn out the report isn't horribly hard on Trump, that report isn't the only thing we have going. I just wish the House would move a bit more quickly. This guy has been polluting our airwaves for years now.

(560 posts)Anything but a slam dunk report highlighting clear Trump-directed collaboration with Russian entities and/or a clear coverup of said collusion is a political victory for Trump and his idiots.
And it's all in the tone of the reporting, the words from Democratic congressmen, and the attitude of Trump's people (including Trump).
Sorry. It's a bad day.

(560 posts)If it's meaningfully damning to Trump or his close inner circle, I guess I'll no longer feel let down.
The chances of that are probably around 5%, FWIW.

(46,016 posts)But I don't think this means the end of investigations by a long shot. That report may be damning, and it may get released. It could be the start of investigations that will end Trump and his crime family.
So I wouldn't bet their gloating will last.

(115,267 posts)But Trump probably does. And he's been unusually angry and squirrelly this week - even for him. Since he's nuts it's hard to know for sure what that means, but it could be interpreted as panic. We'll have to wait and see - but we don't know.

Now, if my husband goes nuclear on one of his sisters, I'll make popcorn and watch, that has been tremendously amusing in the past.

(4,109 posts)We have taught our relatives that if they insist on bringing up The Traitor they are going to get an earful of substantiated facts until they regret bringing him up.
As a result, they have learned not to mention him.
I dont mean to criticize you, but to encourage you to get in their faces. Being a good German is the worst thing you can do for your son. Show him what standing up for righteousness looks like.
