In a nutshell:

The child is 9 years old. The family lives in Tijuana and the kids cross the border EVERY day to go to school. You would think that the kids would look familiar after years of doing this. Were they targeted because some racist piece of shit thinks the kids shouldn't be allowed to go to school in their America?

She had her passport on her and showed it to them. The assholes decided she didn't look like her passport photo. and took her into custody. She was with her 14 year old brother, who told the fucksticks that she is his sister. Remember they do this trip twice a day, so child abusers should know her passport is valid. Now those racist asshats threatened the 14 year old brother with arrest for the mango Mussolini's favorite description for brown skinned men: human trafficking and sex trafficking. But that wasn't enough for the pile of donkey dungs posing as semi literate human beings. They forced the 14 year old brother to sign an affidavit saying that this girl was his cousin, not sister. Why would that distinction make a difference if they truly believed the young teen was involved with sex trafficking?

Now the girl is taken into custody. Along with her perfectly valid passport and an affidavit signed by her minor brother (under threat of being arrested as a sex trafficker) saying she is his cousin, not sister.

Because of a 9 year old's inconsistent statements? She is 9, ripped from her family. Witnessed her brother being threatened with arrest and being forced to deny she is his sister. Then she is held for 2 days, alone. The cottage cheese for brains actually wonder why a 9 year old, ripped from her family, made inconsistent statements during a traumatic experience. Remember this is what we know the sacks of shit did, what did they do that we don't know about?
