Reason I can't believe the "no indictments" means drumpf is exonerated

If Mueller came up with nothing to charge drumpf with, then what exactly were the deals he cut with Cohen and Flynn for? Both those men got reduced sentences for cooperation. You don't cut a deal unless you are trying to hook a bigger fish.

I think the report is going to detail MANY crimes that Mueller feels it is CONGRESS'S duty to deal with by impeachment, and many other crimes that it is/was outside of his scope to indict for (referring to other agencies).

1. I Agree That This Will Be Thrown Into The Lap Of Congress To Settle.....

but just look what is happening in the last two days. The Repugs are again circling the wagons around Trump and are celebrating They are saying that Trump has been vindicated without even knowing the contents and substance of the Mueller Report.

Is this how they will treat any impeachment proceedings?

They will put the pressure on the Dems to stop any further congressional investigations - saying that the Dems are doing it just for political reasons and they are on a witch hunt.

I just hope that the Dems don't cave to any pressure that the Repugs and Trump's lies and twitter posts will put on them.

This is a time for all Dems to come to rally around their Party and keep the pressure on Trump and the Repugs. Yes - the Dems will be delving into all kinds of areas beyond the Russian collusion/interference. This will allow the Repugs to call it a witch hunt and to Trump's base they will make it look like a witch hunt.

I've said it here before - the pressure on Trump and the Repugs to win in 2020 will be enormous. To keep Trump out of the line of fire - they need to keep him in the WH. Trump needs to run out the clock on the statute of limitations on his crimes.

We all believe that the Russians interfered with the 2016 election and we all suspect that Trump and his minions aided them (i.e., colluded).

Notice, however, that nothing has really been done in any way to prevent this from happening again in 2020.

We need to be vigilant and make sure that any suspected interference by the Russians or any funny stuff by the Repugs is nipped in the bud as it happens. Otherwise we'll be sitting for another 4 years - helpless and hopeless - with Trump and the Repugs loose to continue their raid on Democracy.

... Don shooting a border kid in the head the KGOP will go around saying the baby deserved it and 96% of MAGA Cultist will believe them.

That's what happens when a political party has it's own mouthpieces on TV; they can propagandize to the nth degree.

The considerations of the Reich Wing should not be considered fully until the fairness doctrine comes back.

3. Impeachment is separate from prosecution in "dealing with" crimes

Just as everywhere else, you getting fired from your job for committing a crime is separate from whatever the police and prosecutors do.

No prosecutor would ever say that impeachment and removal serves in any way as a substitute for the justice provided through indictment, trial, conviction, etc.

If mueller has declined to indict or recommend indictment, it's because he believes he can't be sufficiently confident of winning the case. It will not be because impeachment and removal is an appropriate alternative.

My own suspicion is that he believes he has sufficiently investigated his narrow charter but has referred leads on other criminal charges to other jurisdictions or other federal prosecutors.

The story is far from over, imho.

4. If he perjured himself in his written answers and can't be indicted, will we ever know?

Since supposedly DOJ only makes public information about indicted individuals, not those who were not indicted where does that leave us as far as ever finding out if Trump lied?

If he perjured himself even once, that would be impeachable but will that be hidden and obfuscated with uncertainy? Only after he had submitted his written answers to Mueller did we find out that Trump Tower Moscow continued much longer into campaign than he had admitted and we also found out that Roger Stone had called to give him a heads up about the imminent release of hacked emails. Wonder what he told Mueller about his knowledge of the Trump Tower NY meeting organized by Don Jr. too, since they all concocted a cover story and lied about the meeting.
