In my opinion, the Mueller report is devastating for Donald Trump.

The "high-fiving" and the "spiking in the end zone" by Trump supporters is way premature.

We don't know what is in the report and Trump supporters do not know what is in the report. They are basing their beliefs and reactions totally on the fact that Donald Trump was not indicted.

The DOJ did not believe a sitting President could be indicted. That does not mean there was no incriminating evidence in the report.

In fact, I believe there is enough in the "report" to impeach Donald Trump but nothing can be assumed unless we read the Mueller report.

The fact that Trump was not indicted means absolutely nothing.

1. If the special council isn't recommending criminal charges

Then you aren’t going to get the senate republicans to convict him. Yes, I know Mueller likely can’t prosecute Trump, but he can recommend charges.

We can only know what he has found if we read the report completely.

If the report doesn’t say Trump should be charged with a serious crime, then you aren’t going to get an impeachment conviction from whatever information comes from this report.

We do know the republicans in the senate would need a big push to convict in an impeachment trial. What I could see them doing, though, is using it to convince Trump not to run again.

...will be the most classic, magnificent example of schadenfreude I could possibly remember.

It will be like the movies, where it appears the villain has gotten away with his evil plan and then BAM!

Still waiting on the report though so I won’t get ahead of myself either.

18. Nunes & Jordan are not celebrating

Devin Nunes is out there today saying the report should be burned. Jim Jordan is saying the report will be worthless because GPS Fusion was the part of the Clinton campaign and the investigators were partisan.

Those two Congressmen are not celebrating. They appear to me to be scared shitless that their complicity in a cover up may about to be revealed.

It would defy all logic if Muellers report did not report the obvious crimes and corruption that was committed. If that happened the report would turn into a major scandal.

So they are not justified in "high-fiving". Ok, true. But then you say the report is "devastating for Donald Trump". Without having read a word of the report. OK...

If there aren't more indictments, it means they all get away with it. There seems to be an attempt to protect people involved in this.

15. All we know is that we should not expect any more indictments from the OSC.
Sun Mar 24, 2019, 12:45 PM
Mar 2019

That, however, does not mean that there will be no other indictments from other branches of DOJ, or other jurisdictions, that cover conduct uncovered by the OSC investigation. It just means that the OSC won't be the ones prosecuting. You're correct that there being no more indictments means they get away with it, but we don't know that yet. It's too early yet to know the full outcome.

Instead he's holed up in Florida with his lawyers. Something in that report is bad and the longer he is silent the more damming it is.
