they would be number one, I would think. The government would probably have to provide minimum, crappy service to everyone at extremely high rates just for medical care alone. That's how it works. The ISPs would be charging the poor people $100 a month for 7Mps DSL.

Good for the patient and healthcare as a whole. Doesn't matter which direction we go with respect to funding.

It's a bad idea to rely solely on such a thing. It is a great option to have for a variety of reasons. BCBS utilizes it for certain things, though it is not a requirement.

There very best one can do over the phone is guess. Granted, it is an educated guess, but a guess nonetheless. This is what I tell parents who try to get me to prescribe antibiotics over the phone when taking call after hours - “I need you to know that the very best I can do over the phone is guess, and I would certainly not want to risk guessing wrong for your child.”

If I can’t eyeball it, palpate it, or auscultate it in person, I don’t want to diagnose it.
