The fact of the matter is, Barack Obama in eight years, there were zero indictments in our administration. This special counsel investigation yielded many indictments of people around Trump. Frankly, his lawyer was caught committing a crime that Trump directed him to commit. Trump doesn’t want to talk about that. He wants to talk about the people he wants his supporters to attack, and that’s not a way to lead this country.

1. It's mind-boggling this even needs to be said

But journalism today isn't about facts, it's about what someone said. Trump ranted about all the criming the Obama administration did, but can't cite even one indictment, let alone the slew of convictions he claims were obtained. But nobody in the media feels comfortable saying, "That is a flat-out lie." Mustn't look partisan by citing objective facts. Instead a couple of days later, someone publishes an article quoting some adviser, and reinforcing the "both sides" narrative, as if they can't credit one side with dealing in objective reality.

And splashy headlines.

And a generous amount of "both sides are the same".
