The events surrounding the report stink to high heaven. Is he legally prohibited from defending his work?

(617 posts)They wouldn't be attacking him so much otherwise. They are soooo predictable. I also think that when we see the "report" it will be redacted to the point of uselessness and everyone will still debate what they think it says over and over again...The redactions will be fought over until after the 2020 election. They wouldn't be so confident if they thought it would see the light of day...predictable.

(10,122 posts)I don't think Mueller will lie. Barr is going to have to try to square what he did without the benefit of knowing what Mueller will say.
They did not agree on obstruction of justice and more.
Mueller is a military, by-the-book man. He's not going to call a press scrum to whine about what Barr did. He'll wait until the eyes of the world are upon him and set the record straight.

But DOJ enforces the laws made by Congress. He knows he will be asked to corroborate Barrs final report to the Congress.

(1,588 posts)Anything said outside of that could screw up the presentation of the facts and whether they could be accepted in court. He probably has to wait to be subpoenaed.

I think the House needs to subpoena Barr and Mueller soon (I think Barr might already be scheduled to appear).
