Tucker Carlson: 'Chris Hayes Is What Every Man Would Be' if Feminists Had Absolute Power

The Fox News host also called Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ‘a moron.’

Justin Baragona

Fox News host Tucker Carlson began his highly rated primetime show Monday night by taking potshots at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and MSNBC host Chris Hayes, labeling the progressive lawmaker a “moron” while mocking his cable news competitor’s masculinity.

Last week, Hayes hosted an MSNBC town hall event on the proposed Green New Deal, featuring Ocasio-Cortez. During the Friday night town hall, Ocasio-Cortez lectured an audience member who called former Rep. Bob Inglis (R-SC) a “moron” for saying the Green New Deal is “literally impossible,” exclaiming “that’s unacceptable” while pointing her finger at the offender.

Carlson, meanwhile, had no problems throwing out insults Monday evening during Tucker Carlson Tonight.

“Chris Hayes is what every man would be if feminists ever achieved absolute power in this country: apologetic, bespectacled, and deeply, deeply concerned about global warming and the patriarchal systems that cause it,” Carlson said of the All In host.

I grew up with the Latin machismo from my family and friends. Hunting, riding, splitting wood, tractors, fixing fence, the whole nine yards. Right or wrong it is simply the culture I grew up in. If Tucker Carlson is trying to say he's a manly type man, I have some news I don't think he's going to like.

Tucker Carlson is probably the last person in the world who should be explaining what "masculinity" is. Masculinity and machismo are two different things entirely.

Truth be told, the "bespectacled" Chris Hayes is from the Bronx, where in general, people learn to take no bullshit. Chris Hayes is the polar opposite of what Carlson probably views a "non-masculine" man to be. As opposed to Carlson, Mr. Hayes also exhibits the human trait of gentleness and kindness, which is probably the best measure of masculinity.

to be Keith Olbermann in emails?

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/keith-olbermann-hoax-did_n_781241

snip:

Tucker Carlson Sent Emails Posing As Keith Olbermann

UPDATE: The text and headlines of this article have been changed to reflect Tucker Carlson‘s admission that he sent emails posing as Keith Olbermann.

Conservative pundit and Daily Caller editor Tucker Carlson perpetrated a hoax last weekend by posing as Keith Olbermann in a series of emails to a Philadelphia columnist.

On Tuesday afternoon, a set of emails surfaced on the Philadelphia news site Phawker. Phawker said that the emails showed the “100% for real” correspondence between Olbermann and Philadelphia Daily News columnist Stu Bykofsky over the weekend. In the emails, “Olbermann” talks about his boss, MSNBC President Phil Griffin, in hyperbolic, insulting terms.

In one email, “Olbermann” says that Griffin is “not my boss (thank god), nor is he intellectually qualified to be...I’ll be anchoring on election night 2012, long after Phil Griffin has moved on to a job for which he’s actually qualified, perhaps on QVC.”

In another, “Olbermann” writes that “I could have Phil Griffin fired tomorrow if I felt like it, trust me. And if he keeps yapping about me in public, I may. For the moment, however, keeping Phil around is like having a drunk chimp in the office — more amusing than threatening.”

Why does Tucker have a job after that?

what you're seeing is message testing for the 2020 campaigns.

if you've been observing the alt-right memes and youtube agitprop over the last year, you've seen the groundwork laid for this angle of attack. think about what Mr. Carlson is saying and doing. it seems like stupid bullshit to us, and for good reasons, but to the neo-con thought leaders it's stupid bullshit with a purpose.

the messaging even persists in the posted excerpt's coverage of it, which isn't exactly intended as sympathetic to Carlson. watch out!
"his highly rated primetime show" -- sentence #1. Tucker Carlson is already established as an authority figure
"labeling the progressive lawmaker a 'moron'" -- the established media figure is branding the libtards and mainstreaming rightwing memes
"'Chris Hayes is what every man would be if feminists ever achieved absolute power in this country'" -- capitalizing on existing alt-right meme culture, reinforcing their messages by casting Hayes as a beta cuck to be pwned.

there's a whole other layer at work here. we need to think past the surface, beyond the sleight-of-hand distractions. find the underlying messages, see how they flow both from and into a larger system of message reinforcement.
