I fully supported the ACA but we need a new way forward.

We have rising premiums, rising deductibles, reduction of covered medications and rising copays. I know this will ruffle feathers but this isnt sustainable. Healthcare continues to increase despite claims that ACA would do the opposite.

I have been a critic of single payer at this time because I dont believe we as a nation are prepared for the fallout. There will be a high increase in unemployment that will not be immediately absorbed. Waiting times will likely increase for appointments and procedures not to mention the government will most certainly need to expand prior authorization. Still, despite the difficult adjustment period that should be expected, it must happen to address the outright corruption and green coming from healthcare industry.

When in the course of a month I hit my deductible of 2k because of a couple of labs and a urine screen.... we have a serious problem.

They won't get it orangely so they'll ask "What does P.O.O.P. stand for?"

You can say "It's best to sit when you have to Pay Out Of Pocket."

OK, still too deep or just a shitty idea.
