Suggest we all get prepared and don't get caught with our pants down again

A week and a half ago many Dems and posters allowed the media to frame the Mueller investigation as done. A win for tRump, Dems must not push too hard, tRump is taking a victory lap.

It was all bullshit, and it was obvious that it was bullshit. Pelosi and other Dem leaders didn't play along. They called out the Barr memo for what it was, ridiculous. As a side note, notice the media didn't focus on the Pelosi comments because it didn't fit the desired narrative.

So tomorrow the focus will be more intense on how ridiculous the Barr memo was, but the media will still allow the ridiculous Repub talking points and spin to continue. It can't be allowed, not by prominent Dems, not by disruptors.

tRump is at best a Russian asset, his entire family is corrupt and there could be up to 100 elected politicians tied to this scandal. We can't allow this to pass, the guilty parties must be punished to preserve this democracy. Nixon, Reagan, Bush, W, Cheney, for the most part walked. Resigning in disgrace is the worst that happened when in fact there are two names on that list that should have had much more severe penalties.

Don't fall for the media narrative, we are right, but must fight for justice.

1. We should start framing national news as "Dump's Daily Red Herring."

Every issue that dominates the media from day to day is something conjured up to distract from all the corruption.

4. The media didn't "frame" anything. It reported the news.

If a person wants the objective news, it's all over the place.

If a person wants a partisan slant, those programs and sites are also all over the place.

The news media reported the facts. Posted the Barr summary, reported key Democrats' responses to it, reported whether there were any indictments filed or recommended, etc.

They didn't "frame" anything.

Don't shoot the messenger.

5. BS

The media uncritically reported that tRump was exonerated. It took them a couple of days to walk back the original statements

Did Mueller state that. We donít friggen know. Barr reported and the media accepted the statement

6. No. The media reported that Trump & Barr claimed exoneration...

and that Mueller did not indict, and what Barr's summary said.

I'm talking legitimate news media, of course. Not opinion talk shows. Opinion talk shows give a viewpoint, of course. That's not "news."

Legitimate news media also reports on polls, so it would report if most people believe Trump is exonerated, or not.

7. No they didnt

Comments like victory tour, etc are loaded. My wife, a low info voter, watches ABC nightly news. I got back from a trip and she commented that I hadnít said anything about tRump being innocent. I had to tell her that the report was a summary from a political appointee who was already biased and may or may not Represent the Mueller findings.

Now would this have been reported the same way if the Pres was a D. Fuck no.

The same media breathlessly reported on a twenty minute meeting on the tarmac between a candidates wife and the AG. And how that was improper. Yet nothing about the current AG writing an audition paper for tRump then summarizing findings in a positive light.

9. Got any links of a news org. saying that the station's opinion is that Trump is exonerated...

of collusion and obstruction? Or did they report the facts: Trump was not indicted for anything by Special Counsel, and Barr reports that the Special Counsel did not recommend indicting Trump?

Maybe you just don't like the news and want to hear it reported another way, like, "Although the Special Counsel didn't indict Trump for collusion or obstruction, and Barr says in his summary that the Special Counsel does not recommend indicting him, we here at ABC think that's fishy. We suspect the Mueller Report contains more damning evidence against Trump and says something else regarding recommendations."

The former is news. The latter is not news; it's injecting personal feelings into the story.

Who, what, when, where, how, and sometimes why = news.

It says, she or he says, they report, the statement says, he responded = news.

I think, it's wrong, it's right, amazing, baffling, mind boggling, disturbing = not news.

10. Here's ABC's news report on Barr's summary of the Mueller report on 3/24/19

https://abc.go.com/shows/world-news-tonight/episode-guide/2019-03/24-032419-attorney-general-william-barr-delivered-mueller-reports-main-conclusion-to-congress

It clearly states that Mueller's report (according to Barr) stops short of exonerating Trump, but that..... etc., about not recommending indictments and such.

8. Here ya go.

CNN Poll: Majority says Trump not exonerated of collusion after Barr's summary https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/27/politics/cnn-poll-mueller-reaction-exoneration/index.html

Most Americans say Trump not exonerated of Russia collusion after Barr letter: Poll https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/most-americans-say-trump-not-exonerated-of-russia-collusion-after-barr-letter-poll

Read Attorney General William Barrís Summary of the Mueller Report https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/03/24/us/politics/barr-letter-mueller-report.html

What we learned from Barr's summary of the Mueller report https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/mar/25/william-barr-letter-mueller-report

Barr issues his sticky-note summary of the Mueller report https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/03/27/barr-issues-his-sticky-note-summary-mueller-report/

And many many more. Every day. Reporting on Barr's summary, reporting results of polls, reporting what different politicians and the AG are saying, reporting information that Mueller's team unhappy w/Barr's summary, reports that Mueller indicted 37 people and his review probably consisted of hundreds of thousands of evidentiary documents, the cost of the investigation, and various statements and facts.

I did not find a legitimate news media organization that stated that Trump is totally exonerated with no questions or concerns about the Barr summary.

I'm sure they DID report that the Special Counsel did not indict or plan to indict anyone for "collusion" or "obstruction." That is a fact that would have been reported. No one would have "reported" why, but would have repeated what Barr's summary said about it.

This is news. You may be used to the Rachel Maddow show, Hardball, Ari's show, and such. I watch them (well, listen to the podcasts) every day. But those are not news shows. Those are opinion shows. I'm sure there are Republican opinion shows saying Trump is exonerated, like Fox. But that's not news, and it is Fox (not a legitimate news org.).

If any news org. says, "I don't care whether Mueller didn't see fit to indictment Trump for collusion or obstruction, Trump is guilty of both things," then don't use that source for news. Because that's opinion. Not news.

(Note: Opinion articles in legitimate news sources are opinion, of course. Not news.)

12. The media I saw/read didn't "frame" it that way. What media were you watching/reading?

To report that Trump is taking a victory lap is a report of a fact. Not "framing" anything.

Maddow (the media) didn't frame it that way. Neither did CNN or MSNBC OR ABC OR NBC. Fox News did, I'm sure, but that's Trump Media.

What media are you talking about?

14. So, you have no media to cite, then? I thought so.

You're just making stuff up.

I have plenty of links to cite that shows they are not giving the Trump talking points, when they report the news. Just let me know when you want them.
