On Tuesday, Trump declared that he wants someone to look not into the "origins," but rather the "oranges" of the probe. "Why does he keep saying 'oranges?'" Meyers asked. "Is he hungry?" The White House also struggled to figure out what Trump was trying to convey, with the official transcript saying "oringes." Yes .. they invented a word, and it's one that "looks like how a child would spell it on a piece of cardboard if they opened up their own fruit stand."
... While speaking to a group of Republicans, he started roasting windmills, saying they ruin property values and their noise causes cancer ... Meyers said. "We call you Mr. President, not Crazy Windmill Cancer Guy."

If it wasn't so insanely bizarre, it would be funny.

(9,457 posts)pretty good analysis. She said her opinion was that he said the first two syllables of origins, but couldn't remember the whole word. She mentions that he says "how it started, the beginning of the investigation, how it started". That meant he knew what he was trying to say, but couldn't recall the word. Brain not accessing memory properly, synapses not firing. (the last sentence is mine). She basically said stress can cause any issue to be worse, even a mild cognitive disability, and that he seemed extremely stressed and anxious. Ditto confusing his father for his grandfather regarding birthplace.
She also says that if Trump were a normal person, he would seek a neuro-psychiatric evaluation willingly and eagerly to see if he had cognitive difficulties.
