It would have been better if this GOP Congressmember had remained silent.

to understand climate change. He clearly has problems acting human. It is completely idiotic that he even asked Secretary Kerry what his college degree was - as if he could not possibly have gained any expertise on a policy level in the 50 years since he graduated. Especially as he has worked on this issue since at least 1992 and worked (and is still working with) Ernie Moniz on getting the China deal and the Paris Accord.

Someone needs to demand this congressman not vote on any financial issue because he does not have an economic or accounting degree. That would be comparable.

On climate change, he pushed many RW themes that have been debunked years ago. Kerry was very polite dealing with this idiot. (I assume the idiot will use this on RW places claiming he called Kerry out.)

in his field of expertise.

But, as you noted, he is pushing the GOP/fossil fuel companies line no matter the damage done to the environment that we all must live in.

And that suicidal short-sightedness, that ability to value the next quarter's profit over the long term survival of the human race, is the real problem with the GOP.

Summary - Kerry and Hagel gave solid, competent answers to many dumb Republican Congressmen. The Democrats asked many helpful questions.
