Man angry about virginity pleads guilty to threatening women

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A man has pleaded guilty to a felony terroristic threat charge after authorities said he threating to target women in a mass shooting because he couldn’t get a girlfriend.

Utah prosecutor Chad Grunander tells the Deseret News that 27-year-old Christopher W. Cleary of Denver was in court on Thursday.

Police said Cleary wrote on Facebook he was planning to become a mass shooter because he was still a virgin and wanted to kill as many women as possible.

He was arrested during a trip to Provo, Utah, on January 19, the same day women’s marches were held around the country. Colorado authorities have said he was on probation after stalking and threatening women there.

His attorney Dustin Parmley did not immediately return a message seeking comment.

When I was in my teens and into my 20s, I couldn't get laid for the life of me. This was mid 80s and into the early 90s and even the mid 90s. (I graduated high school in 1985)

I blamed it on myself. (OK, a few times, I very briefly blamed the girl for not liking "nice" guys out of frustration, but that quickly returned to blaming myself...)

I think it wasn't until I met my ex-wife in 1997 that I finally learned to be more outwardly easy-going and less outwardly uptight (I was very shy when younger, so I think it sometimes came across as my being uptight/tightly wound)

But, I can see guys like me growing up in the 2000s and 2010s going in entirely different directions and letting that "nice" guy turn down becoming a burning anger that simmers over time.

a handful of members of their gender. I think maybe young boys need to be educated in the schools about sex, girls and dating and learning about how to respect the rights of females to decline sex. I don't know, but it seems like this problem is only getting worse and I'm not sure why.
