‘He’s Just Being a Freak’
April 12, 2019 at 2:52 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard

Speaker Nancy Pelosi told Recode that the way President Trump uses Twitter has “cheapened the presidency.”

Said Pelosi: “He’s just being a freak, I mean, he’s just terrible. There’s more of a responsibility for a president to communicate his point of view, which we should respect, he’s the president of the United States, whether you agree with him or not, he has a point of view. But to use the office of the president as an attack vehicle … for his market, it seems to have worked.”

She also criticized the sometimes-obsessive coverage of Trump’s Twitter outbursts: “All they want to talk about is, how on Earth did he do 50 tweets in 48 hours? I think the press is an enabler of him… He makes assaults on them and they strengthen him by just talking about that and that’s what an authoritarian wants you to be talking about him.”

He doesn't respect the office of the Presidency, but he expects everyone else to, and they do. That's why he wins. No one will tell the Emperor he has no clothes.

You just called him a freak. The Reich-wingers will now come at you screaming “You just called the President of the United States a freak!”

Whatever you do DON’T. APOLOGIZE!

I beg you. Don’t. In fact, double-down and own it. “Why, yes I did! Because he is!”

You will feel great. I know I will.

It could mean he's great in bed. Which we know he's not.

Here's an accurate, albeit truncated list:
1. Troll
2. Asshole
3. Sociopath
4. Pathological Liar
5. Malignant Narcissist
6. Worst Human Being on the Planet

"worst person in the world"? If that were now, Trump would win it every night. There would be some close seconds, like Barr, Stephen Miller, etc. but Trump would win.

minute and because the press covers him in sound bites (and tweets are also sound bites), he gets given the ability to deny anything he wants. Like "I don't know wikileaks" - his followers can use that to deny what we all know is the many times he praised wikikeaks.

I attribute much of it to laziness. He's like that guy who doesn't bother to remembers names of people he considers to be beneath him. The unwillingness to accept anything that does not support his world view and especially his belief in his own expertise is a narcissistic quality. It's what we should expect from a self promoter whose talent and success are fabricated. He has failed in business and been part of an entertainment medium that is only worthy of ridicule.

When it comes to rejecting evidence, his disposition is part of a national trend. Climate change deniers and anti vaccine believers both reject anything that challenges their beliefs. I see them cite misrepresented research that they think they understand, even with no real background in statistics or science.

Most people don't get exposed. And there are plenty of con artists making a good living off of their lies.

Keep in mind that a Democratic president who is close to 80 is possible in the near future. And, any missteps or gaffes will be considered will be an opportunity for the RW media to diagnose them as being in the final stages of Alzheimer's. Republicans would have a field day. I hope Dems won't do them the favor of handing them a precedent.

He IS a freak. His entire life has been a struggle by him to allow him to just be himself. All his business failures, all his infidelities, all his crime, all his political scandals, all just him fighting to be allowed to be himself.

He's completely motivated by hate, malice, cupidity, hedonism, vengeance, lust, wrath, laziness, every possible bad motivation is his. And he's always fought to be allowed to act, unchecked, on any whim that arises from his motivations.
