I completely believe that the conservative movement (especially its modern, ultra-radicalized version) is now the greatest existential threat to our species because of the degree to which their stubborn ignorance and greed has encumbered our efforts to address climate change, peak resource depletion, and overpopulation. Progressive policies have made our world. Conservatism is almost never on the right side of history. However, the hyper polarized environment we are currently immersed in is at a point of critical mass...a tipping point. We intellectuals need to be mindful what contributing to the polarizing dialogue does. Populism only works with an enemy. Conservative political and industry leaders have carefully cultivated their enemy narrative over several decades. We are the enemy. We liberal, educated, integrated and diverse forward thinkers. When we speak about them like they speak about us, we reinforce and confirm this narrative. We do their work for them. We must resist the urge to "other" them. We must search for the common humanity we share. I know it seems hopeless, but we cannot succumb.

Sorry for spoiling the party.... I fucking hate them, too.

Just figured it would behoove me to say what I've been thinking and begrudgingly accepting. Still working on implementation.

Cheers, all!

It's tough to take the high road, but taking the low road makes us no better than them. We seriously need to find some common ground with a solid and sincere message that attracts a broad array of voters.

BTW, I'm in the "fuck (all) Republicans" camp, too. At this point in the game, how can we not be?

Too busy lining their pockets, persecuting immigrants, restricting women's health care and polluting the environment. And that is just a fraction of it. Fuck them all!!!

I'd still want to see some corroboration from a second source before I post it though.

On April 11, AOC took to Twitter to call out Crenshaw, writing this: “You refuse to cosponsor the 9/11 Victim’s Compensation Fund, yet have the audacity to drum resentment towards Ilhan w/completely out-of-context quotes. In 2018, right-wing extremists were behind almost ALL US domestic terrorist killings. Why don’t you go do something about that?”

Asked by Fox News’s Jesse Watters about AOC’s tweet Saturday night, Crenshaw said it is “almost not worth responding to.”

Then he added this: “Last I checked, I thought I did defend 9/11 victims, I went overseas and tried to make sure the attack never happened again. And make sure to take the fight to the enemies that committed it. Is not just her either…The fact that they would double down on this and try to provide cover for Ilhan Omar when all you have to do is say hey, she misspoke, maybe she did not mean at that way. Why don’t you just say that?”

I see that he didn't address funding the VCF, he could simply say "I did".
