1. For those of us who have no TV...

Thank You so much for this post. I may be American by birth, but in my heart and soul I am definitely French. I love that city and everything about it. I cannot stop crying over this devastating loss. I am one of the lucky ones who have been to Paris multiple times and have many many memories of visiting Notre Dame. I will treasure those memories forever.

2. Picture of the interior

Amazing news - it looks like #NotreDame's south rose window, at least, has survived largely intact. Kudos to the #Paris firefighters.

4. I still can't watch, but just seeing the South Rose Window intact has made me feel heartened...

This is the first big news story in a long time that didn't have me glued to watch every second of tv coverage. I am broken-hearted, but grateful all was not lost.

6. More than the bones...the 3 rose windows are holding up.

If that remains the case, and it is not certain, then the Heart Remains.

Been there multiple times. Attended Mass in the Choir, now destroyed. And Iím an ex baptist Freethinker!

But those windows are the heart of that place.
