The lack of a college degree seems to hint at Republican leanings per the majority of congressional districts.

Additionally, many who go to college leave their hamlets and closed-knit social groups, which allow them to think more independently. This could hint at a more expanded and open view of the world, instead of submitting to the peer pressures of their home environments.
If 50% or more of a congressional district does not attend college, there seems to be strong indications that their secondary school education is a major influencer of how they base their world views. Since these are township school systems, their boards of education probably gear their curriculum on local resident pressures--so little would change. The students probably develop a better self once they leave their region and go out on their own.

Of the people I went to high school with, the ones who are Trumpers are all those who stayed in town, never went to college, and never, ever step outside their comfort zone.
Heck, most of them still hang out with mostly people they went to high school with.
Those who left and got an education are generally more liberal and have a wider circle overall.
