Seriously. When “they” go low, we need to respond with something that leaves a mark. Forget these someday-I’m-going-to-do-something warnings. Forget another committee meeting to study the last committee meeting. Forget calling a press conference to tell us there’s a problem we already knew about....a year ago. Enough!
Please....don’t tell me we have to give it more time or that threads “bashing” Democrats aren’t allowed. I’m a citizen first, and my country is in very serious trouble.
Name one institution Republicans haven’t tried to destroy. Name one department that’s managed by someone who actually cares about it. Name one national tradition that hasn’t been hacked up. Name a U.S. ally that hasn’t been treated badly, a social service program that hasn’t been partially dismantled. Name one competent cabinet member or one truthful spokesperson.
Find a law that hasn’t been ignored or a racist that hasn’t been favored. Find a single person around Trump with a kind, loving heart. Just one. These are people who support caging children and inviting Russian spies into the Oval Office.
What an unbelievable state of affairs. We have a president who specializes in lying and cruelty and somewhere around 4 out of 10 Americans who have no problem with it. I’ve had enough. It’s time we came out swinging.
