Your States were Directly Targeted By The RUSSIANS and The Two States That Had REPUBLICAN GOVERNORS and SECRETARY OF STATE'S --- The targeting worked as Trump's Russian Hacks handed him Michigan and Wisconsin -- Pennsylvania had a Democratic Governor (Tom Wolf) but IT APPEARS (If You Are From Pennsylvania Feel Free To Update In The Comments) The SOS Is APPOINTED and nearly Minnesota too yet the only reason this did not occur is that Minnesota had a DEMOCRATIC Governor and Secretary of State.
The Mueller Report - Page 148:
It is time for CONGRESS to IMPEACH DONALD J. TRUMP!!! It's Time for Nancy Pelosi to let Congress (The U.S. House) DO THEIR JOB!!! The People of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, must demand such!!!

(1,183 posts)They need to have new url's so the vote counting is not 'switched' to alternate server and rogue code/pgm with duplicate name...doesn't flip votes then bogus data gets switched back to original code. It's easy to do/script if you know that initials server address. (things I've learned from supporting software that schedules batch jobs on distributed servers)

(24,761 posts)But prior to 2014, we were stuck with "One Term" Tom Corbett (R). Gov. Tom Wolf (D-PA) apparently was unaware of the fact the repukes helped the russkies rig the voting machines and/or voter rolls before he was elected (suspicion is mine).

(32,633 posts)Thanks to our Governor Tom Wolf (D) - reelected in 2018 - we will have all new secure electronic voting machines installed before the 2020 election. The only thing better than that would be paper ballots, but our Governor decided against it. It's been along hard fight against the Repukes' cheating in our state. But hopefully we've turned a corner in 2018.

(6,623 posts)Even though we did have Wanker, failed presidential candidate, as governor.
As far as I know, Russia tried to hack Wisconsin's voting system, but were not successful. Wouldn't rule out some electronic skullduggery of some votes, for example as happened when Kathy Nickolaus, Waukesha County Clerk, "found" 7,500 votes for the Republican in the 2011 Wisconsin Supreme Court race.
From what happened in 2016, and is still happening with Russia, every state needs to massively beef up our election security.

There were no anomolies. Dems don't like to admit it, but Clinton simply did not campaign much at all outside the big cities of Philly and Pittsburgh. In fact, if Clinton had gotten the same amount of votes in just a few counties as Atty Gen'l Shapiro, she'd have won here. The fact is, Clinton was well-known here and there were lots of people who simply did not like her and did not vote for her.

(34,374 posts)The fix was in. All they had to do was flip a few votes from a few crucial precincts and I will believe to my last breath that's just what they did. And they made doubly sure that fix was in when the recount started. The Michigan recount showed Clinton was making startling gains and maybe they didn't flip enough votes, so REPUBLICAN Attorney General bill scheutte sued to halt the recount. On election night, asshole was 13.7K votes ahead of Clinton, but it was reduced to 10.7K when scheutte stopped it. 10.7K votes out of almost 8M cast.

(14,565 posts)That was the stupidity. I'm not going to accept an evil explanation when the more likely one was negligence. Those states may have Democratic recent history but they also have 85-91% whites in the electorate. That made them extremely vulnerable to the promise-anything crap that Trump was peddling regarding jobs returning to various declining industries.
I've mentioned many times that those states are right on the bubble of the national number regarding self-identified liberals and conservatives. The nation had 9% more conservatives than liberals in 2016. Those 4 states each had between a 6-9% gap. Sorry, but that makes them legitimate battleground states. They are not like California or New York with tons of margin for error due to more liberals than conservatives. Once a state is in that range nearby the national ideology then it is incredibly fragile and can shift several points based on national mood of the moment, or candidate vs. candidate.
The Russian propaganda was everywhere and influencing those scared non-college educated whites who have been shifting away from us anyway. Once there is an established trend then the bottom line can be far beyond the projection. That's what happened in 2016. We knew the so-called working class vote was a problem but we idiotically relied on prior guidelines and assumed it couldn't shift too far too fast, especially in friendly states.
Yes, it could. Once Florida election expert Steve Schale paused on election night 2016 and had a very lengthy gap between twitter posts, I knew something was very wrong. Once he finally returned and reported that Trump was pulling unprecedented numbers in 47 different Florida counties -- all the rural counties -- I knew that this dynamic would attach everywhere, and that the unthinkable had become a certainty.
We gave away 2016. If we continue to view it as theft we'll give away subsequent elections than should be won via competent messaging. I have no idea why we don't have an ongoing media campaign right now designed to keep down Trump's poll numbers. Just a one minute segment, like Keith Olberman's "Worst Person in the World" type of thing. Something anticipated every night. Heck, Tom Steyer could fund it and be the host. Detail the latest Trump atrocity, or something that Republicans are doing to damage the typical American.
If we wait until fall 2020 nothing good will happen.

(50 posts)I betcha' that Manafort refused to admit the real purpose for sharing the data.
He had a neat story, Kilimnik was his long time partner working on Ukrainian elections. Sharing the data was a natural gesture.
What could Manafort have added?
1) Did he know that Kilimnik, a Ukrainian had Russian Intel connections?
2) Was he meeting with Kilimnik at the behest of Trump?
3) Did Kilimnik pass the campaign data to Russian Intel?
If Manafort had flipped on Trump re: those 3 questions, we'd have a different report today.
