Page 72: Sarah Huckabee Sanders, pants on fire.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump and his administration revealed that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told investigators she had lied to the American people about the firing of FBI Director James Comey.

The revelation appears on page 72 of the second volume of the Mueller report.

After Trump fired Comey, Sanders tried to justify the decision by claiming “the rank and file of the FBI had lost confidence in their director.”

When interviewed by investigators, Sanders said her claim was a “slip of the tongue.”

“She also recalled that her statement in a separate press interview that rank-and-file FBI agents had lost confidence in Comey was a comment she made ‘in the heat of the moment’ that was not founded on anything,” Mueller wrote.

when questioned about it later.

Cause ain't a chance in F***ING HELL that was anything 'spontaneous' on her part. That was part of an organized Trump Admin strategy.

Oh hai, you guys remember the 20 Benghazi investigations the Pukes in the Senate and House called up, on account of Susan Rice (I think it was?) getting it wrong in her first press conf. the day after an attack on the other side of the world in a war-torn country ... saying that a video was the apparent casus belli of the attack?

"slip of the tongue" and "in the heat of the moment" - what crocks of shit she uses as rationalization for lying.

Each reporter should follow up with, "Now, was your answer a slip of the tongue, made in the heat of the moment, or can we trust what you just said is accurate?" You know, just so there's no more unfortunate misunderstandings about what the Press Secretary just said.

sooooo mad that she didn’t just straight up LIE to Mr. Mueller & Co that she KNEW the FBI was in terrible bad shape, PERIOD.

Surely he’ll see this as some “light betrayal” on her part, and they will have a break-up of some sort
