2. yes... I haven't seen a lot of evidence the majority of them accept responsibility for their actions

have anything but denial for the damage they are doing, nor feel regret or shame. Resentment and projection on others, yes.

Not that I am seeking for validation of the OP's point, obviously.

At this point they're mentally silo'd unless they have friends outside their cult that presents the truth to them.

5. Why would you think they'd start doing the honorable thing now?

They have suffered no consequences and will suffer none as far as I can tell. It's clear none them have the slightest bit of morals. None of them are having the kinds of depression, self-doubt, self-loathing, and feelings of disconnection that precipitate suicide.

I don't for a minute think they're just successfully hiding all that the way many people do.
