Rod Rosenstein conspired with Trump to fire Comey

He came up with a falsified justification for firing Comey, so he had mixed motivations with Mueller.

Rosenstein worked hard to protect Muellers work protecting Democracy, but once Mueller ended the Russia part, and obstruction was all that was left, Rosenstein had a personal risk of concluding there was no obstruction.

So he had a motivation to give cover to Barr on obstruction.

Part of me is hoping he really is as decent as Rachel’s piece made him seem.
