The report that the attorney general says clears Trump actually says that Trump lied, lied, and lied againand pressured his subordinates to do the same.In a morning press conference before the release, Attorney General William Barr seemed to give a friend of three decades his due after two years of lies and slander by our president.
I would also like to thank Special Counsel Mueller for his service and the thoroughness of his investigation, particularly his work exposing the nature of Russias attempts to interfere in our electoral process, Barr said.
A few breaths later, Barr committed one of the great public betrayals of our history.

(3,344 posts)Mueller didn't write the special counsel law, he just followed it.
AND, he was NOT required to write that big report. He was only required to justify why some were prosecuted and others not.
Mueller knows Congress will get the report.

(34,131 posts)So that the resultant report does not just go to the AG but also to Congress. If the person being investigated is in the Executive Branch, the report should not only go to a part of the Executive Branch. Simple logic.
Another point that should be clarified is that the President should not be above the law. Whoever's ass is sitting in the Oval Office should be just as liable to prosecution as any person in this country. Period.

(453 posts)We will learn that Russia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Syria, N.K. and now Venezuela have stoked Trumps manic ego and to be able to use him as a "useful idiot" to accomplish all that they could never accomplish with a strong, intact, unified America. We are now seemingly irreparably divided along race, economic, gender, and age lines. There is nothing on the horizon to unite us.
Which of the current candidates can bring us together to defeat the evil?
