i don't understand why Mueller couldn't charge tRUMP for ATTEMPTING to break the law!

If it's proven that tRUMP requested some to lie or do things UNLAWFUL? WTF? Is this not OBSTRUCTION at the very least?

3. DOJ rule: can't indict sitting president

Trying to obstruct is a crime, no one denies that

4. That "rule" (memo) is anti-Constitutional. Should have been rescinded decades ago.

9. Looks to me that he feels chafed by that memo and disagrees with it.

But didn't quite step over the line to protect the country.

10. He had to state it in a convoluted way, but it's obvious he had enough to indict

except for the fact that Trump is the sitting president.

The obstruction case is all tied up with a pretty bow and he handed it to Congress, saying it is their job to act on it.

13. He stuck by DOJ policy. That doesn't mean he doesn't think he broke the law.

If you read between the lines, it seems pretty obvious that he does think that Trump broke the law. And obstruction is an inchoate offense, meaning the attempt of it is criminal even if it is not successful.

The report expressly refuses to say that Trump didn't break the law on obstruction, and then lays out 179 pages of evidence that appears to support that he did break the law on obstruction.

The prospects of impeachment and indictment after he leaves office were never ruled out by Mueller.

I know it's frustrating that Mueller appears to be straddling a middle line here, but I wouldn't say he's leaving Trump off the hook by any stretch of the imagination.

15. Oh i fully agree that he feels tRUMP is guilty.

I just wished Mueller would have stated STRAIGHT out that he wanted CONGRESS to very much continue with Subpoenas! ALSO demanded stronger terms that tRUMP be subpoenaed.

17. You have to understand he's not a politician.

He's an investigator.

And it's not his role to tell Congress to do the things that should be painfully obvious they should do.

14. In his mind, it's about intent...

Which doesn't seem like he couldn't make a determination on.

Plus, charging him could bring a host of problems. It would be fought and fought and fought all the way to the supreme court. Even if he somehow got charged and brought into a courtroom, arguments would have to show beyond reasonable doubt. If they could find an impartial jury, that in itself offers no guarantees.

I know it's a certainty from our perspectives, but Mueller looks at it differently on what he finds that offers a guarantee of getting a guilty verdict.

This is why Mueller was smart enough to make the point in the report that this will be up to congress. I think in his mind he hopes congress will move towards impeachment.
