1. It's a subpoena

They can do this?
They can make excuses like this not to release?

14. Yes... they can do this

Neither the executive nor legislative branches have absolute power to force the other to do something.

2. Seems to be timed perfectly, and is absolutely required

Produce the report.

5. Anything that comes from the DOJ needs a filter

An "opposite filter".

The request is perfectly timed (or maybe a tad late) and absolutely necessary.

There.

Fixed.

7. "Your Honor, my client thinks it's premature and unnecessay to go over the evidence against him"

"Oh, well then, you can go. Case dismissed."

13. Actually, that happens all the time

Defendant gets the subpoena and goes to the judge and gets it quashed.

Of course the case isnít dismissed

11. They will say the same about the contempt of Congress vote, and

They will say the same about the court order to release the report after the contempt vote is challenged. And they will say the same after the attorney general and other officials imprisoned for contempt.

12. What if Barr refuses?

And is found in contempt? Can the AG even be found in contempt?

18. The subject of the report gets full access. Those that would act on the report get limited access.

That makes sense to me!

20. If this is how the Founding Fathers intended the USA to be governed

Then more of them were hemp farmers than originally thought.
