If Trumpism had not been held in check in the dark ages, we'd still be huddled in

filthy villages ruled by warlords and ravaged by disease, pestilence and war. Life expectancy: 42.

"Heliocentrism? Earth travels around the sun? Fake news! Kill Copernicus!"

"Things we can't even see---so-called 'germs'---cause disease and infections? Fake news! Kill Pasteur!"

"Some invisible force called 'gravity' makes apples fall from trees AND guides the planets? Fake news! Kill Newton!"

Wasn't until the enlightenment and the Renaissance period where we questioned the idea that kings were empowered by god and the church rule all aspects of our lives.

I have been reading Will and Ariel Durant's history books. Again and again, even the wealthy people are described as having most of their children die before reaching adulthood. Many died in infancy or during the second year of life.

That is what is at steak in this struggle. Dugin imagines a return to the medieval ages where strong men kept the masses in line with religion and women silent with pregnancy. This is the philosopher Putin listens to. A romantic fascism where strong men (though not too bright) impose their will without the hindrance of understanding or the benefit of wisdom.

That we are born with a finite amount of energy, like a battery. Use it up and you die quicker.
