There should be several tracks to them:
1. Financial committees should investigate Trump's taxes and financial ties to Russia.
2. Intelligence committees need to look into the hacking of the 16 election and the Trump campaign's contacts with Russians
3. The Judiciary committee has to Trump's attempts at obstruction of justice
And while the House Dems do this, our candidates need to talk to the people about jobs, healthcare, income inequality, etc.
I firmly believe that if Dems play it smart and expose Trump while campaigning on issues that people most care about, it will lead to total victory in 20.

(3,344 posts)We can't just run standard boring investigations that no one will care about.
These need to be impeachment investigations, with impeachment hanging over every single hearing.

So, now our elected politicians are suggesting that the voters should decide on impeachment....2 years from now. NO, we live in a 'democratic republic' not a democracy!
YOU, politician, do your job as framed in our system of governance. If you don't, WE will do our defined job and replace you in two years.

That is what brought down Nixon - public hearings, as govt officials exposed the corruption under oath.
