I carefully plated some wet cat food I had just brought home from the supermarket and put it on the floor. My gray tabby, who had been weaving around my legs trying to trip me, came over and gave it a sniff.
WRONG! She looked up at me, back at the cat food, back up at me, and then made burying motions with her front paws, as if to say, "This is not cat food! This is crap! I shall bury it, as I do all crap!"
I had purchased the wrong flavor of cat food. I should have known, but I was distracted by thinking about Donald Trump. Sorry, kitty.
Now, if I could, I would cover Donald Trump up, just like Bobbie, my kitty, tried to do with food she considered to be crap.
However, I threw away the unsatisfactory food, opened a different can and the cat returned to her usual good humor.
Perhaps we can open a fresh can in 2020 and bury the crap.
