Job recruiting company Cynet Systems is in hot water after a job posting went viral, but not for a good reason.
A LinkedIn job posting asked for a mid-senior level business development person, but under the positions top qualification they listed preferably caucasian, WUSA wrote.
Cynet Systems is one of Virginias most popular companies but now theyre being asked about racial discrimination in job practices.
Its unknown if Cynet Systems was hiring for their own company or someone else, but the person who made the job posting has since been fired and the company apologized.

(8,692 posts)We are supposed to believe this was the act of lone wolf and not a systemic and pervasive attitude at the company? Shit like this rarely happens in a vacuum.

(7,715 posts)The co-CEOs of Cynet Systems are of Indian origin.
I read that one recruiter at another company mentioned that she often gets placement requests from companies looking to hire with these kind of racial requirements. That's really sad, but why was I dumb enough to believe otherwise....

Really stupid recruiter lists it in the online post
I dunno better maybe I dont waste my time with responding to a cleaned up job post only to waste more time when the recruiter screens me out for the racist company client.

(9,971 posts)I spent my career in corporate America, and I can say with certainty that we were concerned with diversity and making sure that all candidates were treated fairly and evaluated on their experience and their qualifications. Were moving backward, and its so frustrating. Intelligence doesnt have a skin color, and its utterly stupid to believe it does.
