(18,402 posts)But that wouldn't cast the appropriate apocalyptic shadow of doom you are seeking out and attempting to spread.
Every day for every year of the 61 years I've been alive, I could find stories of this nature to cull from papers around the nation and world. (Worse, actually.) What makes you think 2012 is so bleakly special?
I must say, I think you're going to have a very Unhappy New Year if you keep this up.
"apocalyptic shadow of doom you are seeking out and attempting to spread."
That's pretty funny. I'm not trying to spread anything. I'm posting what's on my mind. I've noticed the extreme violence we've seen lately and I am posting about it. You don't have to care.
I'll try not to keep it up though. I usually don't do the gloom and doom thing.

(10,711 posts)...which is good news. Nothing against the OP, but there is a strong trend among fox news viewers to fear crime, and associate crime with poverty and minorities. The network reinforces its political agenda by focusing on crime and promoting fear and conservatism as rational responses.
On the other hand, in the real world people by and large get along very well and peacefully with one another. And things are getting better.
