I am an engineer/scientist. When I have an idea I test it. If it doesn't work I throw it out. Conservative government has been tested and it does not work. Look at all of the red states in the recent state ranking on multiple qualities of life one community health aspects. All those solidly red states are at the bottom. If you are capable of logical critical thought and consider yourself conservative you should find it necessary to change your thinking. All Bama have going for it is a football program at U of A. It is a football team with a pseudo-university attached.

......and it appears that very little has changed since I was stationed at Fort McClellan Alabama in 1963, 1964 and beyond which was during the Viet Nam Era.....I was called "Damn Yankee" more times than I can count.....my best friend in the army was a great guy, but he just happened to be black.....during the time I was there, our favorite hamburger place in town had a sign out in front that said "White Customers Only".....so, I'd have to go in an buy the burgers and fries, and so on and then bring them out to the car so we could relax and eat and spend a few hours off of the base.......and now they come with this stupid law written and passed by an all male vote which is horrible in that I believe that a male has absolutely.....NO...BUSINESS....telling....ANY....female what she can or cannot do with......HER.....BODY !!!!

were hanged...

More than 4400 African American men, women, and children were hanged, burned alive, shot, drowned, and beaten to death by white mobs between 1877 and 1950. Millions more fled the South as refugees from racial terrorism, profoundly impacting the entire nation. Until now, there has been no national memorial acknowledging the victims of racial terror lynchings. On a six-acre site atop a rise overlooking Montgomery, the national lynching memorial is a sacred space for truth-telling and reflection about racial terror in America and its legacy.

The Rosa Parks Museum was a testament to the life of civil rights heroes from Montgomery, AL. Those who participated in the transit boycotts day after day.

And the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was pastor from 1954-1960, where the museum/church docents came out on the sidewalk to hug and welcome folks inside for a history lesson.

I recently visited Montgomery, AL and hope to go back soon to finish seeing what I didn't see the first time. Please don't put down the whole state for the actions of some ignorant people in the state legislature.

Maybe that is what they want. Why would a company that depends on attracting educated young people to work for it want to locate there?
