Jeff Daniels, who plays Atticus Finch on Broadway, used that phrase when talking about Trump's rallies. He was being interviewed by Nicole Wallace on Deadline White House last night.

2. Thanks for posting this. Jeff Daniels is terrific.

He “gets” it, to put it simplistically. And that applies not only to acting, but to all other aspects of his life as well.

4. That's a line from Sorkin's "To Kill A Mockingbird" play.

Fantastic adaptation of the classic novel, with lots of artful references to our current, fucked-up political situation.

Tickets to the Broadway show are tough to come by, but a road show is already in the works. See it, if at all possible.

And God bless Jeff Daniels for his comments on MSNBC---particularly about how desperately we need a hero to come forward and do the proper thing.
