If I was impregnated due to rape, I have been told I need to get over it that a Dem Governor may

very well soon sign a bill (Bel Edwards) in Louisiana that would potentially put me in prison for an abortion. I have been told to accept this due to the fact that Louisiana is a Red State and that he will do a bit of good on other fronts.

FUCK THAT SHIT.

If this is the length we are now going to go to as a Party, I am beyond dismayed. It is OUTRAGEOUS that we will now submit to one of our own signing goddamn anti-human rights level legislation in order to claim a damn 'D' after the name of a governor. I will be FUCKED if I acquiesce to this rot in the name of political expediency. I do not give a DAMN if the calculation/rationalisation is that it would would A-OK for him to do this if the SCOTUS (a different SCOTUS ,with Clintonian appointees) would smash it down. NO IT WOULD NOT make it ok! No one put a bloody gun to his head to sign this ROT and anyone who signs into law a bill that gives the government to right to make me carry to term a rape pregnancy is FUCKED. Seriously, they can FUCK RIGHT OFF.

If this gets me banned, then I go leaving you all knowing I AM RIGHT!

Bel Edwards, the willing enabler of RADICAL Rethug xians MONSTERS, can fuck right off. My fucking womb, all women's wombs and our collective fundamental body/reproductive autonomy are NEVER up for political gamesmanship (I say gamesmanship because almost all of these bastards are MEN) and Machiavellian bargains!!!!!!

10. The OP was about John Bel Edwards, not Jill Stein

One can be disappointed in Governor Edwards and still be upset about Stein and Sarandon, et al.

in that right wing state.

this is why the supreme court was and is important.

34. He was running against (Diaper Dave) David Vitter. That's why he won.

I was living in Louisiana at the time. Any Democrat could've won that election because no one, not even some of the most hard-core RWNJ's, wanted David Vitter as governor. Everyone knew that he would never be able to escape the scandal of his history of wearing diapers with prostitutes. He would never be taken seriously.

12. waddaboutJillStein is your defense? Seriously?

BTW how many here would defend Bel Edwards because "he's the best we could do"? If he's the best and acceptable to us, then we ARE fucked and Jill Stein has fuck all to do with it.

p.s since you feel so strongly on the subject you should start your own thread instead of hijacking someone else's

15. bel Edwards is governor of louisiana. that's what the people of that state want

they are right wing in that state.

that is why the supreme court is imporant.

jill Stein should have admitted to being a right winger the way bel Edwards does instead of pretending to be liberal while attacking actual pro choice Democrats who would protect choice.

jill Stein is a trashy right wing troll that supports Putin and Trump .

22. one trick pony, we all hate Stein, that has fuckall to do with the Dem Gov signing the bill

If he signs it when it actually has a chance to be upheld, he sure as fuck would have signed it when it did not as this gives him the ultimate cover.

claiming to be from the left but being a right wing trashy maga supporter in reality.

27. you obviously can offer nothing but replies of a truly non sequitur nature

Replies that are entirely non germane to the underlying fundamental nature of Bel Edwards' hatred of women (for it is HATE that makes him sign this bill, hate from both internal and external levels), as well as profoundly telling of your seemingly your cavalier attitude when it comes to basic human rights within the gender/reproductive sphere.

14. Jill Stein does NOT make it ok for a Democratic Governor to enslave us to our biological make-up!

That is some of the most fucked up logic I have seen in my entire 23 years on this mortal coil. It is seriously twisted as fuckall!

YOU are literally saying that if the SCOTUS outcome were somehow guaranteed to have a potentially different outcome that Bel Edwards gets a fucking pass for his attempts to imprison us via his likely signature!!

I am bloody outraged, more than I have ever been on this board since I joined that I am being subjected to this tosh, this entirely false obfuscation and rationalisation.

this is why the supreme court is imporant.

but trashy right winger Putin and trump supporter Jill Stein was focused on attacking Democrats who would have protected women's rights.

she should admit being a right wing piece of shit who opposes choice instead of claiming to be liberal.

24. nope, bel Edwards ran as anti choice. we knew louisiana and other right wing states

do not support many rights for women and minorities which is why the supreme court was always a big issue.

so the trashy trolls like jill Stein who claim to be from the left while doing all they can to support trash like trump must be called out.

13. It seems that according to some here, every woman unfortunate enough to be living

in a state where there is large enough percentage of mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, inbred troglodytes that the state legislature feels the need to pander to, well...those women must pay for the sins of Jill Stein for being an asshole.

HERE IS THE BOTTOM LINE. Even if President Hillary Clinton was sitting in the Oval Office today, these anti-abortion bills would be passing through all of these state houses like shit through a goose. "BUT WAIT", you say, "Hillary would have placed two of her own choices on the Supreme Court!!!"

Think about that statement again, and then think about who's in charge of the Senate right now. He specifically stated that he would hold those seats open through 8 years of a Democratic President if he had to.

Oh, K&R for sure.

the left leaning side than the other.

4 to 3. and possibly 5 to 2 on some social issue cases depending on Roberts since he voted in support of same sex marriage.

33. maybe im thinking of the Obamacare/aca thing

there was something where Roberts voted with the liberal leaning justices.

but either way the liberal leaning side would still have had more justices with mm refusing to confirm.

my point is peoples attempts to claim no difference is bs.

part is being in power is just about preventing shitty things from happening .
