Lobbyists and big money

Every politician on TV swears that although they take money from large donors it doesn't influence their votes. EVERY host, journalist, interviewer, whatever, whenever that is said should immediately ask them how it is that 80-90% of the public want stricter gun laws, 80% of NRA members want stricter gun laws, it is only the NRA leadership and the gun lobby that don't, and, we DON'T have those laws. Explain . . . . .
How is it that everyone wants stricter laws except the gun lobby and if their vote in not influenced by those lobbyists, how is it we don't have them? They are lying.
Same with oil, drug prices, health insurance, you name it. Everyone wants one thing, the big money wants something else. If that money does not influence their votes, WHY DOES IT CONTINUE? They are LYING!
