Ok...the House impeaches Trump. Trump loses...

And we end up with Jesus freak Pence as President.

"Gerald Ford 2.0"

Yup, Pence gives him a full pardon, like Gerald Ford gave Richard Nixon.

Trump goes back to his financial schemes, like "Trump U" and a fake "charity."

Meanwhile, Pence, pandering to the Talibornagains, gives them all they want.
With the help of "My way only" McConnell.

We have to get these corrupt bastards OUT.

It's Protestant Christianity's theological interpretation of unregulated capitalism. They believe that "financial blessings and physical well-being are always the will of God for them, and that faith, positive speech, and donations to religious causes will increase one's material wealth."

Impeachment is warranted, and, regardless of the outcome, we must defeat them in 2020 too.

It is more than valid enough to counter the impeachment now or else crowd, and to bolster my own case.for let's fight them not each other.

How does that not encourage Trump and Republicans to do even more crimes?

So that's no reason not to impeach. That being said, it's important that we choose a nominee who can beat anyone, not just trump. Any of our candidates would beat trump (assuming a fair, legitimate election). I think most would beat pious pence as well. But how many would beat former governor Bill Weld, if he were the GOP nominee?

In the very slim chance that happens, Pence would, of course, become president, and he could, of course, pardon Trump. One result of Ford's pardon of Nixon was that Ford lost the 1976 election - a fact Ford himself acknowledged. It was a very unpopular move, and pardoning Trump would probably be at least as unpopular. And Pence has all the charisma of a wet mop. Of course he'll pander to the fundies, and many GOPers will feel relieved because he's outwardly normal in a way Trump never was, but he's such a nebbish that he'll never attract the ranting, drooling MAGAts that populate Trump's rallies. I don't think he'd be re-elected.

And don't forget, Trump can't be pardoned for state crimes - and the Manhattan DA's office is lubricating its proctoscope as we speak.
