GMAIL down? All afternoon Thunderbird couldn't log on, although...

it had no problem with my other email accounts.

So when I went to log in with a browser, I found this:

https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/06/02/google-is-in-the-midst-of-a-massive-outage-affecting-gmail-drive-and-some-third-party-services/

In the last few hours there have been widespread reports of outages related to several Google services including Gmail, Drive, Nest, Analytics, and Calendar. In fact, almost all of Google's services suite is potentially affected according to the current statuses listed on the G Suite Status Dashboard. The issue appears to be regional, however, with anecdotal reports indicating not everyone is affected.

Down Detector's live maps indicate the issue seems to be mostly concentrated to the east coast of the US, with some reports it may also be affecting eastern Europe, though there are further (and fewer) reports that other areas could also be affected.

Hope they get it fixed by tomorrow. I was much happier when we ran our own server and used old fashioned Pine email, but they wanted to offload the heavy lifting for maintenance, etc.

I can open my box but nothing new has come in since 3:00 am Sunday morning, unusual since I usually get a 50 to a 100 new emails everyday.

Update: Gmail working fine, emails coming in.
