They will legislate a ban on it in this country because they will say its unfriendly to the plastics industry.

Sure the produce might appear fresh at the top and bottom, but it's the stuff you can't see that gets you.










Most of us just live with it, since we're supposedly getting a deal. Me, I've moved on and never shop them anymore.

might be useful? I try to minimise my use of plastic, but I do miss the convenience of putting all my apples in one bag and onions in another. Easier to tote and store, so I do use plastic bags in the produce section, but then I try to reuse them until they tear.

I'm saving those small plastic mesh bags that things like onions and avocados come in, as well as the larger sizes that I buy citrus in. Reusable and washable.
