at how little attention this is getting by media even once Kaine announced it. I posted this elsewhere and thought it might bring some light about our reactions and a ghost from the past.

How much will be enough? If at all? If in time? Given the children being separated and caged on the border it is important to step back and look at that fact and the submissive reaction to the murder and dismemberment of Kashoggi in the following context. People say all the time that the German citizens should have done something to stop the Nazis early on and how could they just go on day after day while their country was being overtaken and their laws being rewritten and their institutions of governance turned over to these people. All of that is a very valid question and I have somewhat of an answer. People still needed to go to get groceries, pay bills, go to their jobs and send kids to schools etc. They knew these things were ominous and dangerous but they also had to continue daily life. So you go to the store and then the next day the government does/says another horrible thing and you worry with your neighbors and friends about what is to become of it all. Then another day and another after that and you are still at the store and making meals and sending kids to school before you leave for your job. And then one day the fighting begins and the dying that had been happening to only certain ones is now happening all around to your neighbors and friends you've known all your life. Then the fear begins to drive people to try to save themselves by falsely accusing those around them. Then one day the rest of the world has stopped the madness and hysteria in your area where you live. Then they ask you why you just went on with daily life and allowed this to turn into a catastrophe for mankind. You try to explain that you didn't mean for it to happen and that you just went shopping and doing the things of daily life. It is not about forgiveness for the German people of that time. It is about understanding that it's time for the people in America to stop just going on about life. If we do not stop this now then we too will have to one day stand and answer.
