(8,593 posts)But I would go further.
Democrats in Congress know what is happening too.
Those employed at those facilities know what is happening too.
Lost is people, including us, know what is happening too.
Acknowledging what is happening on an intellectual level is one thing. Actually doing something about it is another.
These facilities are cruel and the intent is to harm and scare these children.

(34,661 posts)the Speaker makes sure all Votes are recorded from here on out. She offered them cover on the Disaster Bill and they ate their own on that one. Talk about campaign messaging.

It must require a certain kind of sadistic personality to be employed by these places.

(15,805 posts)This serves no other purpose than barbaric cruelty. Trump approves of child abuse because he knows he will get away with it. His slobbering base of screaming zombies love it. Republicans couldn't care less what happens to poor brown kids.
There are only 235 Democrat in the House and they are already stretched thin and dancing on a tightrope. They must find a way to protect these kids from Steven Miller's twisted sickness and Trump's vendetta against people of latino heritage.
The media can't keep up and many of these sordid discoveries get lost as reporters race from one Trumpian outrage to the next. That leaves the tragically underfunded legal watchdog groups like CREW and ACLU who stand at the breach and fight, demanding justice and relief from the courts.
