Pelosi for months has worked to tamp down efforts among a growing number of Democrats to move forward with impeachment, arguing it could backfire on the party heading into 2020.
However, dozens of Democrats are now saying they support moving forward with impeachment proceedings after special counsel Robert Mueller said last week that charging Trump with a crime was "not an option" for him during his 22-month investigation, effectively punting the issue to Congress.

(8,764 posts)Talk about being in a bubble.
I do not know a Democratic voter in real life that does not favor aggressive pursuit to impeach Trump.
One needs to read at DU or listen to the corporate MSM to hear justifications why to delay the impeachment process.
Pelosi should be actively whipping up the support and votes needed for impeachment. The delay and reasons offered for the delay make zero sense.
