Did anyone else notice Trump following a subtle social cue from Macron?

After Trump’s speech, both men and wives began to shake hands and greet the 60+ Veterans that were on the stage behind them. After a couple of rows, Trump and Melania decided they were done and went back to stand in their “spots.” Macron and wife continued to greet and shake hands. Trump began to look around to see what was going on and noticed Macron and wife going to the upper rows to greet and shake hands. Trump and Melania decided to greet a few more people. After a short time, they went back to their spots to stand, looking straight ahead. Macron and wife continued on. They had to maneuver between wheel chairs, but they greeted all the veterans. It was important to do this. It was important for the veterans. Trump would have had a difficult time walking among wheel chairs. Bone spurs. Too much fast food.

Later, when walking to the the shore, Trump had a “death grip” on Melania’s hand. Why was she wearing sunglasses when Macron’s wife was not wearing sun glasses? Maybe it was Melania’s body double working today.

4. One time I spotted Melania's body double (different day and setting)

... and immediately after that I looked everywhere on the internet for a clip to playback and confirm that it really was NOT Melania in that short press-meet. Do you know that I couldn't find the clip anywhere, none the major news channels had captured the clip for that day. It really made me suspicious, and I realized that I must have been right, it was the body double and not Melania. However the TV news outlets were playing along with Chump by failing (or refusing) to post the clips of her double.

When I see the real one she doesn't normally wear sunglasses.

Trump's a stable genius, and knows exactly what to do, after all, the whole day was about him.

I was ashamed that he only did a few cursory handshakes amongst the surviving veterans. Then felt even more shame when he realized the optics didn't look good, so he returned to do only a few more.

During the ceremony I bawled like a baby over the stories of the sacrifices and horror they struggled through.

In my family, this day was always very quiet. Dad and uncles deep in thought, and some years I saw tears in dad's eyes, though he tried to hide them.

I never understood. Today,in my own way, I think I understand. But can any of us truly imagine what it was like? And then relive it each year therefter?

I remember dad and uncles talk of how the waiting was agonizing. Everyone itching to go, but not really knowing what the itch was, yet it only increased the fears. Dad would say he daydreamed holding my mom in his arms. Oh, God, that makes me so sad. That long wait must've been awful.

So here we are, 75 years later, and I'm relieved Dad isn't here, with the rest of us, as we worry that this cowardly dictator wannabe might make a big ass out of himself, and embarrass all Americans as he pretends to be our Commander and Chief.

Then there's Melania. They say she's intelligent. I don't know. I watch her closely. I try to see signs of life. She just seems so vacant to me. She purses her lips, which makes me think she's posing as a sexy kitten in Playboy. As fast as she makes that look, she switches back to vacant again. I don't mean to be cruel, I just don't see any 'there' there.

It was an honor to be in their position today. I don't think either one of them appreciated or respected that honor. I am ashamed of them both.

16. For Trump and wife everything is only a photo op.

All his adult life Trump and whichever wife he had at the time would crash as many high society events as they could. Their modus operandi was to show up all glammed up, make the rounds to where people were being photographed, get themselves photographed and leave. If it was a charity they never gave money, but it looked like they did when their photos were shown in the newspapers the next day.

That’s all they know. Just show up, get photographed and leave. Of course New York well to do people knew all that, but the Trumps got away with it.

The entire Trump family is like that. It’s all about perception. Every moment we see them they are doing nothing more than this. They just pose. It’s obvious and easy to see once you know this.

They have no idea how to interact with people on a one on one basic. They don’t know what to say or how to chit chat or even how to show pseudo-sympathy for a few seconds.
