The week just past featured several frightening, stupid, arrogant, embarrassing and

otherwise disgusting actions and utterances by the White House Squatter. In other words, nothing has changed. He continues to provide the world with overwhelming evidence that he is the most incompetent political figure to ever be permitted to strut upon the global stage. And, like it or not, in the eyes of the world, HE REPRESENTS US! He is "who we are".

I believe that many citizens of other nations---including our allies---must assume that most Americans approve of Trump since we continue to tolerate his ignorance, his cruelty and his narcissistic corruption.

No one thinks harshly of the poor soul who stumbles and falls into a sewer. But, the person who falls into the mess and chooses to sit there, complaining loudly about the stench while making no visible efforts to extricate himself, will earn more disdain than sympathy.

So, here we sit: in the same disgusting mess we were in last week---and last month---and last year.

Do you think we'll ever get clean again?

I think they are likely shocked as many as 40% support him... A trend worrisome to us all, but?

literally EVERY DAY he does something "frightening, stupid, arrogant, embarrassing and otherwise disgusting" - the man has an infantile, incessant need for attention, good or bad - he is PATHETIC

He gets weirder every day; it's obvious that the pressure of the various investigations and the "fake news" is getting to him. He's transparent in one sense: his tweets tell us everything we need to know about what's gnawing at him and which of his crimes he is trying to project onto others. But I don't see how this can continue. At some point he's gonna blow, and who knows how that will go down?

....at any moment, Putin could decide to ruin Trump completely.

Some thoughtful experienced people on twitter wonder at what point Putin will take him down in order to create the maximum chaos here in America. It will happen. Trump is owned by our most dangerous enemy.

Racism, white nationalism, a failed democracy, just plain idiocracy.

It will take a generation of the best leadership just to get back to where we were, and by that time, the world and the country will be clinging on not just to keep a functioning civilization, but even to just survive. We squandered a critical time on the worst that that we could possibly have inflicted on ourselves and humanity. The. Worst.
