The helicopter crash in Midtown Manhattan has taken the John Dean testimony off the cable news shows.
Coincidence? They say there are no coincidences. Trump is just lucky - I guess!!!!
You can tune into CSPAN 1 and see and hear it - but the main impact of this was to educate the American People on the Mueller Report and I question if many American's that are not into this whole Trump thing would even tune into CSPAN.
I hope that the cable news shows - later in the day - air this testimony in its entirety.

(25,241 posts)will the average American that didn't read the Mueller Report tune into CSPAN? The intent of this testimony was to get to that average American. With this testimony being pre-empted by the helicopter crash - I wonder how many average American's will seek out CSPAN?

(42,690 posts)Those networks don't draw huge audiences. If someone really wants to watch the hearing, there are ways to do so. Even if it was being covered on the cable news channels, those who don't care about the hearing aren't going to watch it..they'll change the channel or simply tune it out.

(94,496 posts)First, most people don't watch daytime political cable news shows.
Second, the people who WERE going to watch probably already had an opinion on Trump and the Mueller report.
Third, Dean doesn't have anything concrete to add to the issue.

(22,029 posts)Although Mr. Dean is an important historical figure, he's got nothing to do with Trump and the Russian interference. All Mr. Dean can offer is historical and legal perspective.
Your first point is the most important one, however.

(35,325 posts)wrote his report on the Mueller Report it was dead as far as the vast majority of America knows.
"Overall, three-quarters said the full Mueller report should be made public. That included a majority of Republicans (54 percent). Just 18 percent overall said Barr's summary is enough."

(36,294 posts)My guess is that much of the nation is and will remain oblivious to the fact that Dean testified today. And that would have happened even if there was no helicopter crash in Manhattan.
