Do you know why Don the Con

thinks he's the smartest man in every room?

Because he hasn't been locked up yet despite decades of criminality.
He's not the only one to blame for this mess - he was given way too many passes.- and others are getting the same.

1. You read about all the criminal activity he's been involved with and you just wonder why

he was given a pass time and time again. Maybe dad's loot got spread around a little?? This time he's got to pay the old fashioned way: in jail. I wish all candidates were asked whether, if elected, they would pardon Trump. No pardons, no pardons, no pardons.

34. I'm sure there were a good many wheels greased

but I also wonder if, just as he didn't make the "A list" in Manhattan society, he didn't make the "A list" of Manhattan criminals. Crooked as he is, maybe he was just considered a small fish in a big sea of corruption and not worth going after...until now.

2. Malaise, that is one of the things about this whole mess we are in

That baffles me to this day. He has gotten away with so much for so long. Someday maybe we’ll know the whole sordid story of how he has not been put in prison but it sure makes me mad that he is in the White House and a surprisingly large number of people think he belongs there!! Aaarrrggghhhh!

10. It is easy to figure out

he hires dumb, weak, easily manipulated people. They will take the fall for him. If they are smarter than him, he digs up dirt or compromises them in some way and threatens them into submission. He is running the government the same way he ran his businesses. Looking for the most corrupt, easily manipulated person to run an agency. if they fail to adhere to his policies, they are fired and someone worse is brought in.

12. But he did for 2 years

Enough time to get all the republikkklans behind him. They are afraid of him exposing their dirty little secrets or corrupt to the bone.

He is trying to do the same with the Democrats. When he fails he has a very public meltdown. What he is doing/saying in public is nothing compared to what he is doing/saying in private.

I always say if a person is willing to act like that in public, imagine what they do in private.

When you are in your own home, you are relaxed. You know no one, but those closest to you hear and see what you do and they are not going to air their dirty laundry in public. It becomes your comfort zone. When challenged outside your home, a person will resort to a milder version of their comfort zone.

There are times I wonder if this is a dream - I still can't process how he stole the Presidency.
He is an uncouth monster in every sense of the words.

I just don't get it!! If anyone else had done any of the things DJT has done they would be locked up immediately, DJT has figured out how to outsmart the system and get away with it and plus he has lots of enablers in the WH. I count on you Malaise to keep us informed and look forward to your comments. Thanks

35. People who believe they are above the law can't even perceive of being locked up.

Trump belongs to a malignant, narcissistic, elitist class born of privilege or who are psychopaths (or both) that have been so protected they think jail is only for us rubes below them. Thank goodness one falls from time to time, but far too few. They really don't give a damn about their fellow-man or the environment, with concern for only themselves and a few others in that class.

Unfortunately, most of the earth's people live their entire lives without even knowing that group of humans exist, although they suffer the consequences from upper-crust malfeasance every day.

Severe asset, income and racial inequality that exists world-wide must end or else it will destroy us all too soon....

37. yes - trump exposes the "flaws" in the system

"flaws" in quotes because they are there on purpose to protect elitist class born of privilege.
And as long as people in power "agree" to play by the rules it appears like the system "works".

But it has holes in it....

39. It is extremely important that persons who commit crimes be caught and suffer consequences.

Prisons have lots of inhabitants who thought they were too good to get caught. They kept going, doing more and more serious crimes until finally did get caught -- for serious crimes.
