Woodsfield, Ohio June 10, 2019
I live in Washington County, Ohio. I know that 3 facilities have closed in this county in the last year. Now this facility in Monroe County has closed. The elderly people who are destitute, impaired or suffer dementia are getting kicked out of their home. This is what repukes do. This is what voting for them does.

I would have posted this story in LBN, but the commissioners voted June 10, 2019. I just heard about it today.

The coal mines in the area closed. Emmitt Boyle ruined the aluminum plants, and put over 2000 people out of work. Because he was and is an incompetent a**hole. A lot of land belongs to oil and gas entities who choose not to develop it in any way. Beautiful hilly land called The Switzerland of Ohio, and even farming is a hard job. Anyway, their tax base is a shambles. When it was a blue county, it was still poor, but they had the mines and the plants, so there were a lot of small businesses in (mainly) Woodsfield. Not many left now. And southeastern Ohio might as well be its own state, as much attention it gets from Columbus.
